  • Does your child or teen fall apart when things don’t go the way they hoped?

  • Do they cheat at board games, or storm off in a rage if they don't win?

  • Does the flood of diversions available online make it hard for them to enjoy the pace of real life?

  • Do they attack,  blame, or withdraw from others when they don't do what they want?

  • Could you use strategies to help your child face obstacles and setbacks with confidence?

  • Can I help make your home the loving training ground where your child learns to thrive through life's inevitable ups and downs?

Imagine your child as an adult—steady, flexible, and confident in their ability to handle life’s ups and downs.

They face disappointment without falling apart, meet change with flexibility and curiosity, and stay steady when things don’t go their way.

Resilient adults think clearly under pressure, solve problems thoughtfully, and express feelings like anger and sadness without losing balance or connection.

This kind of resilience is built through small, everyday frustrations held within a steady, caring parent-child relationship.

This series will help your kids internalize the confidence and adaptability that will launch them toward a resilient grown up life.

This class will cover:

  • The difference between love and rescue—and how “empathy without fixing” becomes the sweet spot for resilience

  • Why today’s instant-everything world can erode frustration tolerance—and how to rebuild it through everyday experiences

  • How to hand problems back to your child with compassion (“What do you think you could do?”) so they grow real problem-solving muscles

  • IFS-informed language to notice your own “Fixer,” “Controller,” or “Cheerleader” parts and invite your steadier Self to lead

  • Why true resilience means being able to experience the full range of emotions, making repair to maintain healthy relationships

  • How managing doses of frustration teach kids they can handle life’s ups and downs

  • How to use your regulated nervous system to help a child’s body settle, creating a physiological foundation for resilience

  • Practical scripts and phrases to use when your child is disappointed, frustrated, left out, or discouraged
