• Do you ever wonder why your child's behavior stirs up such strong reactions — ones that feel bigger than the moment?
  • Are you tired of the inner tug-of-war between wanting to be kind and yelling before you can stop yourself?

  • Do you find yourself micromanaging every little thing, even though part of you feels completely depleted?

  • Does one part of you try to set firm boundaries, while another wants to give in to keep the peace?
  • What if your strong reactions weren’t the whole story — but just parts of you trying to help in outdated ways?

We all face moments of overwhelm, anger, and self-doubt — especially when our child’s behavior pushes buttons we didn’t even know we had.

But when we react from stress or fear, it often escalates what’s already hard.

What if you could meet those moments with steadiness and self-awareness — and help your child do the same?

In this class, Susan Stiffelman and Tammy Sollenberger will introduce you to Internal Family Systems (IFS), a comprehensive, research-backed approach that helps you make sense of your inner world in a way that helps you parent with greater calm, clarity, and connection.

You’ll learn to recognize the different “protective parts” of you that show up in parenting — the fixer, the avoider, the worried one — so you can better from your wise Self. (What Susan calls the Captain of the ship.)

You’ll also learn kid-friendly ways to help your child make sense of their own inner conflicts, like wanting to go to a birthday party and stay home where things feel safe and comfortable.

With practical tools and relatable guidance, you’ll leave this class with new ways to respond with clarity, supporting your child’s emotional growth, while honoring your own.

Join us to begin a new chapter in your parenting — one rooted in presence, compassion, and secure connection!

We'll cover:

✔️ How to stay steady and calm, even in moments of high emotion, conflict, or defiance

✔️ How to recognize "trailheads" — the emotional signals that let you know a "protective part" of you has been triggered

✔️ Age-appropriate ways to introduce “parts” language to kids, so they can better understand their inner world

✔️ How to set healthy, respectful boundaries, without yelling, shaming, or over-explaining

✔️ Embracing moments of struggle as invitations to heal the parts of you still carrying pain, fear, or insecurity

✔️ Developing the skills of pausing, reflecting, and choosing your responses — instead of reacting from strong emotional patterns

✔️ Tools and scripts to help you repair and reconnect when things go wrong

✔️ And much more!
